SAI Develops Airport Status Map for Pittsburgh International Airport

Atlanta, GA (January 22nd, 2014) – Systems Atlanta, Inc. (SAI) deploys an Airport Status Map for use at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Developed to integrate with PIT’s existing IDS5 workstations, SAI also provides on-site installation and training for PIT Airport Operations personnel.

The Airport Status Map application provides end-users an easy and reliable way to view the status of their airport as it pertains to the functional status of the runways, taxiways, ramps, and pads. Situational awareness and operational efficiency within the airport is improved by having a single location to view and update the status of pavement on the airport.

The user interface of the Airport Status Map allows for the instant collaboration of data between workstations, which is updated on a real-time basis thereby increasing situational awareness and productivity. The application also includes several additional features such as restricted profiles, zoom capabilities, and a labeling system, making the Airport Status Map a functional and secure tool with which to work.
